Week 12 Reflection

I finished a large print today, and I also did two small ones earlier this week, but I don't have images of those because they are buried on the wall in my studio right now. I still want to finish another large print and two medium ones by Tuesday. My only concern is that my oil pastel supply is dwindling faster than I had hoped. I ordered some the other day and will get them tomorrow, but that still might not be enough. I'm going to try Michigan Book and Supply tomorrow, but they are always out of stock - so frustrating. So, I just hope I have enough to get me through the next three prints. It will be a busy weekend.

  1. Beautiful Chrissy, Can't wait to see your show. Have a wonderful weekend. Love, Terri

  2. These colors are different from what I've seen- Nice. I like that you're continuing to experiment and evolve. I really like the perspective of standing at the top of the stairs.

I would love to see all of the monotypes you made this week. Maybe I can check them out on Tuesday? What happened with the pastels? Did michigan book and supply come through?

  3. This is beautiful. It's so different from the rest of them. It seems like your style is getting tighter with each print but it still maintains this almost surreal quality. This one feels different to me because rather than just being the house, this time you have included a mirror and a rug, which seem to be some of our first personalized objects in these house portraits. The colors also feel a lot more literal than in some of the other drawings. Very interesting. I love watching these develop. It really looks gorgeous. I can't wait to see it in person.
